FAQ
What is the Women's 100?
The Rapha Women’s 100 is a global cycling event where women all over the world ride 100 kilometers (or miles!) on the same day. It’s a celebration of the women’s cycling community, teamwork, and pushing our limits together. Taking place on Saturday, September 5th.
Do I need to be an RCC Member to join?
Not at all! You do not need to be an RCC member to ride with us. This event is open to the entire cycling community. Whether it’s your first time riding in a group or your fiftieth, we want you there.
Who is it for?
The Rapha Women’s 100 is an event dedicated specifically to celebrating and empowering women, trans, femme, and non-binary riders, including masc presenting (WTFNB). While we love our male supporters, we ask that this specific ride remains reserved for our WTFNB riders only. Our male members are welcome to reach out to find other ways to support this event.
I'm a little nervous. Will there be different pace groups?
Absolutely. It is completely normal to feel nervous, especially if this is your first 100km or your first group ride. We will have dedicated ride leaders and sweepers for multiple pace groups throughout this ride. We'll also offer a support vehicle and aid stations along the route.
What if it rains?
Cycling is an outdoor sport, and a little rain won't stop us, especially in the PNW. If it is just light rain or showers, the ride will go on—just remember to bring a lightweight rain jacket, throw on fenders if your bike can accommodate them, and be extra mindful of slick roads. However, safety is our top priority. If there is severe weather, lightning, or heavy storms, we will cancel or delay the ride and notify everyone, so signing up on this page is super important!
What should I carry with me for this ride?
Riders are expected to be self-sufficient. You should bring a well-maintained bike, a helmet, water bottles, front and rear lights, and a basic puncture repair kit (spare tube, pump, and tire levers). It is also recommended to carry snacks like bars or bananas to keep your energy up between official rest stops. We will provide additional nutrition and hydration at various points along the ride to help you stay fueled.
