The Road to W100: Finding Your Flow in the Peloton

Before we tackle the big 100km distance, we master the group rhythm. This flat, confidence-building session is designed to get you completely comfortable riding in a pack.

We’ll break the ride down into three Castle Peak Small laps (7km/lap):
1st Lap: Find our rhythm and feel the draft of the peloton;
2nd Lap: Practice the essential skill of hydrating safely while rolling;
3rd Lap: Relax, chat, and connect with your fellow riders.

To add a little friendly competition to the morning, breakfast is on us for any ladies who completes 5 laps of the loop. Riding a small-wheel folding bike? Complete 3 laps and your breakfast is covered too!

For our more experienced riders, we encourage you to keep the legs turning for extra laps, or better yet, share your wisdom with those who are just starting out - reminding them of the riders we all used to be when we first clipped in.

📍Meeting time and place: 7am, Nam Cheong Station Exit A
🚴‍♀️Distance: 50 - 65km
🗺️ Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/56053587

Look out for the Rapha tent at the Castle Peak Car Park! We will have a dedicated cheer station set up with ice-cold soft drinks to keep you fueled and refreshed between your efforts. As always, we’ll finish the morning together at a local coffee shop to wrap up a great day on the bike.

The Road to W100: Mastering Gears & Gravity

Climbing is as much about mindset and technique as it is about power. For our August Women's ride, we are heading up the iconic slopes of Fei Ngo Shan to demystify riding in the hills.

This session focuses on the art of shifting gears smoothly and building confidence with basic descending skills.

Known for its breathtaking, panoramic views over Kowloon, Fei Ngo Shan offers a beautifully quiet, traffic-free environment. It’s the perfect place to block out the noise of the city, find your rhythm, and focus purely on the tranquil turning of your pedals.

📍Meetup 7 Eleven, Tiu Keng Leng Station Exit A1

🚵‍♀️ Distance and Elevation gain: 25km, 680m

This is the day all your training has been leading up to. Join thousands of women around the globe as we take on the Rapha Women’s 100 together. Our Hong Kong route is a spectacular journey through history, nature, and community.

Rolling out from Twin Bridge, we will soak in the stunning coastal vistas of Tolo Harbour and Tai Mei Tuk. From there, we’ll journey deep into Sha Tau Kok to visit the historic Kang Yung Study Hall—a beautiful remnant of the Qing Dynasty tucked away in a traditional Hakka village. Next, we’ll trace the quiet HK-Shenzhen border roads for a mandatory community pitstop at the legendary Law Tai Tofa (羅太豆花). We’ll loop back via Twin Bridge before executing our final, celebratory stretch at Ma On Shan Go Park.

FAQ

The Rapha Women’s 100 is a global cycling event where women all over the world ride 100 kilometers on the same day. It’s a celebration of the women’s cycling community, teamwork, and pushing our limits together. Our main event will take place on Saturday, September 5th.

Not at all! You do not need to be an RCC member to ride with us. This event is open to the entire cycling community. Whether it’s your first time riding in a group or your fiftieth, we want you there.

The Rapha Women’s 100 is an event dedicated specifically to celebrating and empowering women. While we love our male supporters, we ask that these specific rides remain reserved for our female riders only.

Absolutely. It is completely normal to feel nervous, especially if this is your first 100km or your first group ride. We will have dedicated ride leaders and sweepers for multiple pace groups.

We'll make a decision on whether the ride will proceed by at least one hour before the ride. As a general rule, safety comes first, so we'll cancel the ride if it's raining. We'll notify you via email if there's a cancellation.

Riders are expected to be self-sufficient. You should bring a well-maintained bike, a helmet, water bottles, front and rear lights, and a basic puncture repair kit (spare tube, pump, and tire levers). It is also recommended to carry snacks like bars or bananas to keep your energy up between official rest stops.
