Welcome to the First Rapha Singapore X SCF Kids Clinic of the Year! This school holiday, reward your child with a break from the books to learn a valuable skill with fun on two wheels. We’re excited to announce the partnership between Rapha Singapore and the Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) with this Kids Clinic, introducing your child to the joy of cycling while teaching them how to ride safely and confidently. Whether they’re new to cycling or still working on their balance, our Kids Clinic is the perfect opportunity to help them gain confidence and learn essential cycling skills. Event Details: Date & Time: 2pm, Sunday, 16 March Location: 100 Plus Promenade (3rd Floor of the Sports Hub), Near Gate 7 This 1 hour session will focus on these key skills: -Learning to ride at least 10 meters without putting their feet on the ground. -Building balance and control while riding -Developing basic braking skills for a safe and controlled stop. -Gaining confidence in handling their bike while riding in a safe and supportive environment. Bike Rental Information: If your child doesn’t have a bike, don’t worry! SCF offers children's bike rentals ($10 per bike with helmet). Rental bikes are limited, so please provide your child's height on the registration form to ensure a correct fit. Family Fun and Bonding: Parents are encouraged to take this opportunity to support your child, it’s great to experience the joy of cycling together and cheer your child on as they master new skills. When and where do we meet?
The clinic will begin at 2pm, located at 100 Plus Promenade on the 3rd floor of the Sports Hub complex. Tentatively, we will meet at Gate 7. If there are any changes to the location, we will update you accordingly.
What should I bring for the event?
Please bring your child, along with a bike and helmet.
Additionally, feel free to bring drinking water if needed. We will also be providing refreshments, including 100 Plus and ice cream, after the event.
What if my child does not own a bicycle?
When registering, please be sure to include your child’s height in the 'Seat Height' column.
How long will the session be?
The session will last approximately one hour.
Do I have to be present during the clinic?
It would be ideal if you could be on-site with your child. Your presence will help facilitate and support their learning, as you may be familiar with key instructions or guidance that can assist your child. Additionally, this will provide an opportunity for some quality family bonding time.
What is the age requirement for children to attend this clinic?
This clinic is specifically targeted at children aged 4 to 10 years old.
What cycling ability does my child need to have?
No prior cycling experience is required! This clinic is designed for children of all skill levels. Whether your child is a beginner or already has some cycling experience, the session will focus on building fundamental skills such as balance, control, and confidence.
What if my child cannot cycle?
That’s perfectly okay! This clinic is a great opportunity for children who are still learning to cycle. We’ll help them develop the basic skills needed to get started, such as balancing, pedaling, and braking. Our instructors will be there to guide and support your child every step of the way, ensuring a fun and safe experience for all participants.
