Overview

Our new fortnightly Rapha ride, open to all. We know that riding in London is more than riding in circles, so forget your Regent's and Richmond laps and join us for adventures into the best lanes and climbs the countryside has to offer. Each ride heads out in a different direction, exploring the best of the city and its surrounding areas as we go, so find out where we're headed on each date via the sign up. With Rapha Ride Leader Jack Talbot on the case, you'll be in safe hands and the vibes will be high. Every edition starts at the Clubhouse from 08:00 for a quick coffee before rolling out at 08:30. Rides will be roughly 80km, season and weather dependent, with a mid-ride refreshment break before heading back to the Clubhouse. This is an intermediate ride and experience in group riding and climbing is required, though we warmly welcome riders looking to improve their climbing skills. RCC members enjoy complimentary coffee at the Clubhouse before and after this ride by showing their membership card at the counter.

Sunday 3rd of October – Talbot's Hertford Loop

This one comes straight from the personal collection of Rapha Ride Leader Jack Talbot, so you'll be in safe hands and the vibes will be high.

Meet at the Clubhouse from 08:00 for a coffee before wheels roll at 08:30, heading north into Hertfordshire for Talbot's Hertford Loop. 104km with 880m of climbing, and Highgate West Hill announces itself as the first real test of the day before the quiet, tree-lined lanes put the city firmly behind you. Essendon comes soon after to keep the legs honest, before the route winds its way to Watton-at-Stone and a well-earned stop at Crumbs Bakery. Vineyards Lane and Carbone Hill are waiting on the other side, so make the most of it.

This is an intermediate ride, so some experience of group riding and climbing is needed, but riders looking to sharpen up their climbing are warmly welcome.

Quiet roads, genuinely beautiful scenery and a bakery stop in exactly the right place. There's a reason it's his favourite.
