Logging 500 kilometres on the bike in the week between Christmas and New Year sounds challenging to most. Yet since 2010, that’s exactly the challenge Rapha has set for riders around the globe. Completing the Festive 500 demands effort and discipline—the real work happens out on the road, whether you’re riding solo or with friends.

Day 1 | Ugly Sweater Ride

Join us on December 24th for the 3rd annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Ride to kick off the Festival 500! We’ll tackle a 60km route, starting and finishing at the Rapha Clubhouse, there will be hot chocolate waiting for you at the end!


Dig deep into your closets and pull out your most ridiculous holiday attire. 


So, dust off those tacky sweaters, slap on some tinsel and let’s make this the silliest, merriest ride of the season!

Day 4 | Windy Beach Ride

Eastbound? Westbound? Today we’re chasing the coastline. A rolling route from the city out toward Zandvoort, sweeping through dunes, forests and fast open roads. The kind of loop that keeps the legs honest and the views rewarding.

Expect steady group riding, a few playful accelerations. Scenery guaranteed.

Day 5 | North Pole Ride

Day 5 will take you out for a smooth spin up to Noord, rolling through open polder roads and classic Dutch scenery. The route takes you past the charming harbour town of Volendam before looping through Purmerend’s quiet countryside. Expect flat, flowing roads, big skies, and plenty of room to stretch the legs.

Day 6 | Easy South Pole Ride

Day 6 takes us out of the city along the Amstel toward Uithoorn, continuing past the Vinkeveense Plassen before heading on to Hilversum. From there, we loop back through Weesp and roll smoothly into the city once again.

Day 7 | Best of the West Ride

A classic loop from Rapha Amsterdam, heading out of the city toward the quiet roads of Het Gooi. The route circles the edge of the Gooimeer, offering wide-open views, steady lakeside stretches, and fast, flowing tarmac. Expect a mix of scenic bike paths, rolling sections, and plenty of room to find a rhythm before we guide the pace back toward the city. A perfect ride for getting in quality miles with beautiful horizons.

Day 8 | Oliebollen Ride

To close out the year, we’re heading out for a 60 km spin. Our annual Oliebollen Ride! We’ll roll south at a social pace before looping back via Ankeveen and Weesp.

Upon returning to Rapha Amsterdam, we’ll celebrate together with fresh oliebollen and a drink for all riders.

If you’ve completed the Festive 500, don’t forget to pick up your roundel when you arrive at the clubhouse. 

A final ride to wrap up the year, share some good miles and toast to the season. We’d love to see you there.
