Overview

A Day in Hell translates the agony and the ecstasy of the cobbles to Katonah as we take on the finest 'gravé', defined as: "(an area of) farm track/road/footpath/bridleway etc. which consists of potholes, loose paving, stones, rubble, and mud." Starting at Acme Bicycle Co, expect 55 miles of mixed terrain through the rolling hills of Westchester County. The route includes 20 miles of unpaved roads that can be ridden on a road bike with 30mm tires, but we recommend using at least 35mm tires for the Mountain Lakes trail. An alternative route will be provided for those on road bikes, which skips the Mountain Lakes trail. We'll finish back at Acme for some post-ride drinks and a chance to reflect on the day's ride surrounded by good company.
